OUR STORE
Red Ribbon Resale is a wholly owned subsidiary of AID Upstate. All profits from the sale of donated items in Red Ribbon Resale are used to provide supportive services to men and women and their families affected by HIV in Upstate South Carolina.
OUR AGENCY
AID Upstate started as a volunteer response to the emerging HIV/AIDS epidemic in the 1980s. We are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. We provide supportive services to men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS in Upstate South Carolina. We also offer free HIV testing, risk assessments and risk counseling and education to the general public.
OUR CLIENTS
HIV/AIDS related illnesses make stable employment impossible for many. Thirty-one percent of our clients depend on government disability benefits as their sole income. Our case managers work with clients to help them develop the skills needed to work toward becoming self-sufficient. Many clients rarely achieve complete and sustained self-sufficiency. One unexpected crisis, no matter how big or small, can bring their world crashing down. We are here as a safety net; otherwise, homelessness would be imminent.
